1972 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible 1972 Chevrolet Corvette
Description:
This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is an update and an upgrade on a true classic. It has the Stingray style you love in a package with extra power and flair. So check out the extra bold yellow paint, full body kit, four-speed, upgraded suspension, and Dart performance-built V8, and you'll realize there were big investments in this drop-top to make sure it was memorable from every angle.
The paint is going to grab your attention instantly. Chevrolet offered a few shades of yellow '74, but it never was this vivid. It's a quality PPG paint called Dandelion Yellow, and while the full restoration of this Stingray was done about 20 years ago, the full package has seen the kind of respect to make it look far younger. It means the color is vibrant enough to radiate practically during the day or night. That's the recipe for a truly awesome ride. And the custom elements don't end there. It's a sporty body with mean-looking rockers and an L88-style hood. And we love the way the polished 17-inch Torq Thrust wheels have a classic look but a modern size. So they go well with the chrome bumpers to give this C3 a terrific sense of coordinated style.
The black roof looks great against the bold yellow, and even a hardtop is available with the sale. But the best way to enjoy this Corvette is with no roof. The tan interior looks especially distinct against the yellow, and the seats are even done in supple leather. The dash, carpeting, and door panels all coordinate with a nice style in a driver-friendly package that looks good when open to the world. There are nice extras, like the retro-style AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth, wood-like trim on the center console, and provisions for factory air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) You have great classic driver-oriented elements like the large speedo and tach directly in front of you and the full auxiliary readouts prominently in the center. These are joined by upgrades like the three-spoke sports steering wheel and a Hurst shifter with a cool yellow knob to match the exterior.
Under the hood is proper V8 power. The shining valve covers announce this has Chevy's magical 427 cubic-inch, but it does it specially. A Dart performance block takes the small block weight and enlarges it to a big block size. It's a fully balanced assembly with 10.5:1 compression, AFR Aluminum heads, Edelbrock Victor Jr intake, and a Demon 750 double-pumper four-barrel carburetor. The right pieces, like an MSD billet distributor and an aluminum radiator with electric fans, also support it. It's a strong-running enhanced power pack that fires up with a terrific growl as the long tube headers add power and rumble to the dual exhaust. The Muncie transmission has upgraded gears to give you firm control as the power feeds the 3.55 Positraction rear. As you look underneath, you'll see even more investment, like the stronger front end, an updated mono spring on the independent rear, Polygraphite bushings, power rack & pinion steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes with slotted rotors.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and maintenance records. This is the classic Stingray built with the best enhancements you truly want in America's sports car. So if you want to be memorable tomorrow, call today!
