This 1973 International Harvester Loadstar is a dually single cab that is said to have been used as a Northwestern Pacific railroad service truck as well as part of an olive field fleet in Corning, California prior to the sellers acquisition in 2017. The truck is finished in satin black over gray and powered by a 383ci stroker V8 paired with a four-speed 700R4 automatic transmission. Features include custom bed bodywork with integrated rear taillamps, air ride suspension with a Viair compressor, axles from an International truck, power steering and brakes, a front bench seat, an Auto Meter gauge set, and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. This Loadstar is offered with an Oregon title.
The truck cab has been refinished in satin black and fitted with the custom fabricated bed. Exterior features include amber clearance lights, side-exit dual exhaust below the bed, sidesteps, towing mirrors, and a silver front bumper. The bodywork on the bedside is wavy and holes are present on the leading edge of the rear wheel flare.
The 22.5 polished Alcoa wheels wear 245/75 Toyo M154 tires up front and 235/80 Michelin X tires out back. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. The truck features a custom air suspension with Firestone airbags and a Viair compressor integrated into the front and rear axles which are said to be from a 2000 International truck. An air leak in the suspension was repaired within the last six months.
The cabin features a bench seat trimmed in black vinyl with gray cloth patterned inserts joined by matching carpets and door trim panels. Interior features include a lockable glovebox and crank windows.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames an Auto Meter gauge set with a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary instrumentation. The five-digit odometer shows 1,400 miles, and the seller has added approximately 2,000 miles since 2017. Total mileage is unknown.
The truck is powered by a replacement 383ci stroker V8 which features a Holley carburetor, Edelbrock air cleaner, headers, MSD electronic ignition and spark plug wires, and 383 Stroker script valve covers. The vehicle is equipped with a custom exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The oil was changed in preparation for sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed 700R4 automatic transmission.
