The early to mid 70's saw many changes to the well-established and now very famous Chevrolet Corvette. As emission regulations tightened, power outputs dropped and engine choices lessened. The big blocks were gone so Chevy put all its attention into the small block 350 making only two engine choices available after 1974. However, in 1976 and 1977, Chevy was able to tune the base V8 back up to a respectable power output level. They didn't stop there, also new was a steel floor pan, an engineering design that added stiffness to the chassis and improved the already legendary handling of the Corvette. Production for 1977 would mark the last Corvette with the classic vertically positioned rear window and the first year for standard leather seats!

This wonderful Corvette original sold to its original female owner from Louisiana who cherished this hand-picked Corvette for its first 40 years! It would be delivered to a restoration center called Just Corvettes in St. Charles, MO in 2006 for a complete cosmetic refurbishment. This included a professional repaint in its original color, all new weather stripping & window seals, all new interior upholstery & carpet, and general recommended mechanical servicing as needed while in their care including new exhaust system with catalytic convertor, a/c service, rebuilt alternator, new air conditioning compressor, rubber suspension components & shocks, and new braking system including master cylinder & hoses.
As the years went by, this owner became an aunt, and gifted her prized Corvette the Summer 2017 to her beloved niece who always enjoyed riding in it as a young girl! This new owner would have the transmission rebuilt by Bob's Transmission in 2018 to cure some gasket leaks. Further recommended maintenance was completed by the St. Louis Car Museum in June 2021 to include a complete fluid check of all drivetrain components- coolant, brake fluid, engine & transmission oil, power steering fluid with replacement as necessary. The power steering ram was resealed with new hoses, air conditioning lines replaced, a/c system recharged, new power steering & a/c belts installed, new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires installed, valve cover gaskets replaced, as well as a fresh transmission mount! A new battery was installed in April 2023.
Only 4,012 Corvettes were painted this wonderful color accounting for 8% of the total 1977 production. A superbly cared for Corvette, both cosmetically and mechanically!
