Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is proud to present this two-door 1974 Ford LTD Brougham. The LTD model was introduced in 1965 as Fords highest trim level on the full-sized Galaxie. Through its long run the LTD was sold in many variations including a two-door, four-door, convertible and a Country Squire wagon. This second generation was produced from 1969-1978. The new model was given a major redesign making the car even larger than its predecessor. By 1974, five- mile front and rear bumpers and tougher seat belt regulations were introduced to comply with Federal safety regulations. Ford marketed the 1974 LTD as a luxury full-sized top-of-the-line model. Emphasizing its bold styling, deep cushioned plush interiors and an abundance of standard features. This 1974 Ford LTD Brougham two-door is painted Ford Saddle Bronze Metallic accented with a dark brown vinyl roof. The interior is appointed in a luxurious cloth fabric and deep pile looped carpet. A 50/50 split front seat and simulated wood dash add to the LTD'S refined interior. Under the hood is a 400 cubic inch V-8 attached to a three-speed automatic transmission. Comfort features include power steering, power brakes, and a Pioneer AM/FM/cd radio mounted under the dash. The 1974 ad campaign for the Ford LTD says it all: "Everything about the LTD reflects success". This 1974 Ford LTD Brougham is a well-preserved example inside and out.
