Introduced for 1953, the Chevrolet Corvette soon became an iconic sports car. As the years went on, special Anniversary editions celebrated America's sports car. Even the carpet still sports much of the protective cardboard that the car has had since 1978. Under the long hood is the L48 350 V8 that sends the power through the automatic transmission to the 3.55-geared Positraction rear end. Giving the Corvette even more athleticism on a curvy road is the optional Gymkhana suspension. As you'd expect of a carefully preserved new 1978 Corvette, this car starts, drives and handles like you're back in the day when Grease was pulling them into theatres.
