Detroit Speed Built Camaro Pro Touring LS7 7.0 V8 640hp T56 6 Speed A/C ///
Envisioned as the ultimate representation of ""sinister functionality"", this razor-sharp Chevy is the direct result of what happens when a diehard enthusiast buys his 22nd Camaro and spares no expense creating an all business, Trans Am-inspired caf© racer! Transformed into a lean, mean pro-touring machine by Detroit Speed, and recently freshened by Dutchboys Hotrods, this surly F1 wears a ground-up restoration that stacks a number of thoughtful upgrades under smooth Glasurit Mineral Gray Metallic two-stage and strategic Paint Protection Film. Twisting roughly 640 horsepower into miles of pavement slaying torque, the professionally modified LS7 rumbling between the car's fenders is a 21st century testament to the bowtie division's enduring small block. Bottom-side, a Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed, sourced from the pros at Bowler, spins a custom driveshaft that was sourced from the pros at Dynotech. A Detroit Speed QUADRALink rear-clip hangs adjustable coil-over-shocks at the sides of a proven Strange 9-inch, which spins a Truetrac differential around big, 3.70 gears. Opposite that QUADRALink, a Detroit Speed hydroformed front-clip makes excellent use of two more adjustable coil-overs and power rack-and-pinion steering. Multi-piston PBR calipers clamp drilled rotors: the exact same set-up you'd find on Chevrolet's fantastic C6 Z06. And power meets the pavement through clear coated Fikse Profil 5s and fresh Continental radials. Between the doors, modified Recaro Specialists join a billet shifter opposite a custom, Nova-inspired dash that's finished with Alpine audio, Vintage Air climate control and Auto Meter Phantom II telemetry. The driver spins a GM-branded MOMO Race wheel around a tilting Ididit column. And a custom, six-point roll cage joins sturdy, four-point harnesses ensure plenty of safe travel.
