1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZZ4 350 CI 355 HP crate engine complete with a Serpentine drive was installed. A complete Painless Wiring kit with updated fuse block was installed. The engine is backed by a TCI Street Fighter TH350 trans with a Saturday Night Special 2000 RPM stall converter. Fuel is handled by a complete Aeromotive “Stealth” fuel tank and pump system that supply the small block via all new lines. Exhaust is expelled via Headman ceramic coated headers into a complete 21/2” polished stainless Magna Flow dual exhaust system with “X” pipe. The battery was relocated to the trunk as well to help with weight distribution.
Georgia car came with factory air conditioning. After a U-Pol Raptor liner and Lizard skin, it was professionally painted in 2010 Synergy Green (5th Gen Color). New trim and finishing touches were supplied from the likes of Classic Industries, Summit Racing, NPD, Year One, and Rick’s Camaros.
Torque is transmitted to the new Moser 12 bolt rear axle through the Eaton Posi-traction center and to the rear wheels via 3.08:1 gears and Moser Engineering shafts. The axle is backed up with a cast aluminum support differential cover as well.
“Power is nothing without control” . . . so the suspension and chassis were massaged in order to give this car more of a “driver’s feel”. The front subframe was fully reinforced and welded along with geometry improved via “Guldstrand Mod”. Tubular Hotchkis weld-in/bolt-in subframe connectors were installed as well as a Hotchkis rear “Max Sway” brace. A combination of Global West tubular uppers and bushings, Hotchkis suspension, Bilstein shocks, Detroit Speed & Engineering fast ratio power steering, and Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes (6 piston front, 4 piston rear) make it handle and stop when the roads get twisty. Wheels and tires include 17x8 American Racing “Hopster” wheels shod with Nitto 235/45R17 front and Nitto 275/50R17 rear. TMI front bucket seats, cut pile carpeting, Dynamat sound and heat insulation, Vintage air HVAC system, Kicker/Custom Autosound system delivers a beautiful sound via Kicker 6.5” components up front in kick panels and 6x9 rear speakers in the deck powered by a Kicker 4 channel amp on the rear deck. New headliner, trim, and some Synergy Green paint tastefully added finish out the interior.
