Flashy muscle cars are fun and polished customs are nice, but there's really nothing cooler than a well-done truck. No gimmicks, no frills and no posturing: just power and presence - LOTS of presence. This exceptionally built C10 resto-mod is an old school stunner that mixes six liters of supercharged small block with a smooth driveline, dashing aesthetics and a detailed, ground-up build that was finished in late 2020. And if you're looking for a cool classic that's both road ready and show-ready, it's the perfect way to cruise the scene and turn some heads!
BRILLIANT IN BLUE
Fully sorted and ready to roll, this sweet Chevy walks a fine line between sport and shine. Under the truck's rich two-stage, a solid fuselage hangs clean panels that were professionally straightened and aligned. And that body's combination of great reflections and flat surfaces illustrate how, for this classic's ground-up build, quality certainly took precedence over time. That metered flash kicks off with an early Action Line front-clip, which stretches fresh stainless trim around a bright bowtie, LED parking lamps and Truck-Lite headlights. A tucked and body-matched bumper bends around a simple profile that's dotted with factory door handles, modern Mustang mirrors, a custom fuel door and custom exhaust outlets. A handsome Cowl Induction Hood leads a crisp greenhouse, which rolls one-piece side glass between polished wipers, filled stake pockets and a short antenna. And at the back of the truck, a filled tailgate joins a seamless roll pan and bright LED taillights behind a full metal bed that's dressed in simulated wood and polished stainless.
BADDER WITH A BLOWER
Installed during the meticulous build, this Chevy's hot LS2 small block enlists a proven Magnuson supercharger to throw massive horsepower straight to the truck's rear wheels! At the front of that aluminum mill, a screened K&N filter funnels wind into a familiar electronic throttle body. That oxygen mixes with fossils thanks to modern electronic fuel injection. Lightweight 243 heads align factory-style coils under tasteful, Chevrolet-themed covers. Coated long-tube headers split bright MSD Super Conductor plug wires. Charge is provided by a billet serpentine drive, which spins a muted Powermaster alternator opposite a modern AC compressor. Cooling comes courtesy of a big aluminum radiator that's complete with dual MARADYNE puller fans and a polished cap. Form and function are provided by a polished brake booster, a Wilwood master cylinder, Aeromotive fuel components and a Wilwood proportioning valve. And the bright red mill rides in a smoothed and body-matched engine bay that's detailed with custom inner fenders, billet hood supports and a custom core support.
GREAT ON THE ROAD
Behind that spry powerplant, a cooled 4L60 4-speed twists torque to a dressed 12-bolt axle that's built with a posi-traction differential. Everything rolls low and mean on a familiar, factory-style chassis that's been C-notched in the rear. At the back of that frame, tubular truck arms join slight lowering blocks and a beefy sway bar under RideTech coil-over-shocks. Opposite that clip, an upgraded front-half sandwiches Aldan American coil-overs between tubular Performance Online control arms. Power rack-and-pinion steering makes parking easy and turns a cinch. Quick stops come courtesy of power-assisted Wilwood calipers, which clamp drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers feed aluminized pipes, which growl through an H-shaped crossover and deep Flowmaster mufflers. Choice detailing includes a proven Optima battery and a relocated fuel tank. And power meets the pavement through polished Billet Specialties Invaders, which spin 235/30ZR20 Pirelli P Zeros in front of 335/25ZR22 Pirelli P Zeros.
CAPTIVATING CONTRAST
Swivel the doors and you'll reveal a wildly contrasted cockpit that's as comfortable as it is exciting! Vibrant red leather dresses sculpted bucket seats to match retractable lap belts and clean, fade-free carpet. In front of those thrones, a two-tone dash hangs serious AutoMeter Carbon Fiber Ultra-Lite telemetry beside cool Vintage Air conditioning and modern Sony audio. A custom console pairs convenient USB charging ports with predictable cupholders and switches for modern power windows. Those windows slide behind custom side panels that are trimmed with billet handles. And the driver spins a red-trimmed Billet Specialties Formula Steering Wheel around a tilting Flaming River column.
When it comes to performance, durability and sheer Americana, nothing beats an old school GM workhorse. Thanks to its high-quality build, this sweet C10 resto-mod wraps a hot drivetrain in a capable chassis and crisp aesthetics. Ready to stand out from the crowd? Give your friends at RK Motors a call!
