Check out this REAL DEAL 1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350-H finished in the iconic Black and Gold color scheme. Paint is in great shape and shows well front to back on this example. Shelby #SFM 6S1932 and the paperwork from Mr. Pardee stating that Shelby number coincides with the matching vin number of this car, confirming its legitimacy. This rare car has a history in our area (lower Minnesota) and is now for sale! The story goes this car was one of three shipped to our area in 1966 from Ford to Tousley Ford and then to Hertz Rental Company. Our videographer, Jay, spoke with the owner at a car show a few years back and learned the story. He bought this car to drive it, and drove it as his everyday workhorse to and from work. That owner had purchased this car once it came out of rental service on May 20th, 1968 - and owned it until he passed. His family has had the car and kept it since! Restored in 2011 and has had roughly 2,000 miles put on it since that restoration. Engine was rebuilt, transmission gone through, and rear end gone through at time of restoration - new cam with Shelby grind was added at that time. Powered by the HiPo 289 V8 under the hood with an automatic transmission. Trim pieces were purchased to upgrade some of the old trim, the trim ended up not fitting correctly so the original brightwork is on the vehicle. Brightwork, fiberglass hood, wheels, radio, Shelby gas cap all original! Riding on the correct Shelby wheels with BFGoodrich radial tires. Spare set of keys included with purchase. Equipped with headers. Trunk is finished off just as nice as the rest of the vehicle. Interior is largely original with the exception of: replaced carpet, reupholstered drivers seat, and new headliner. Original wood laminate, door panels, seat belts, and tachometer just to name a few! Black vinyl bucket seat interior with automatic shifter on the floor. AM stereo in the dash works! Shelby tachometer, correct on these vehicles, works as it should too! Fuel, amp, temp, and oil pressure gauges all working. Horn works!
