Acquired in 2004 as a major project car, this Ford Deluxe was subjected to a complete restoration. Having restored various Ford cars and trucks over the years, the owner decided to take this car to a whole new level!
The body was removed from the frame and both were expertly addressed. The suspension received upgrades including independent front suspension with disc brakes added to the front. The rear end is a Ford 9" for cruising comfort. All new wiring was installed throughout the car. The car rides on Baby Moons and whitewall tires.
Under the hood powering this car is a SBC 350 V-8 which is mated to a 700R4 Transmission, both of which are reported to have been rebuilt. Headers were expertly installed leading to a dual exhaust for that classic old school rumble. Chrome accents under the hood provides a clean look to the engine compartment and power steering was added for driving convenience.
The interior was restored to include new headliner, door panels and carpet and a new steering column and steering wheel. Leather seats out of a later model car were installed for a clean look. Bench seat in the rear with bucket seats up front. The driver seat is power adjusting for driving comfort. The dash was refurbished and shows very well.
While the all steel body was expertly worked and restored, the builder decided to customize the car to suit his taste. A beautiful wood paneling was applied to the car for a classic Country Sedan look. It is recommended you review the pictures to see the quality of the workmanship.
Due to illness and the owner's passing, the car sat (under cover in a garage) for nearly 6 years. His wife recently spent $1700 to get the car up and running correctly and to address any issues. The car is now ready for a new owner to drive and enjoy!
