Fuel injected, overdrive automatic transmission, ground up restoration, and only 4,500 miles since completion! This is an absolutely sweet restomod truck with top quality finishes! Take an extra minute to soak in all the custom details of this short bed pickup. It is a clean and refreshing build!
EXTERIOR: Small changes make the biggest impact! For starters all the emblems have been removed providing a very sleek look. The louvered hood adds a custom touch. The bumpers have been smoothed and the rear is notched for the exhaust. The roll pan has been custom embossed with bow ties. The front grille was also refinished, and the headlights were upgraded to HID. Cool and refreshing light mint metallic was applied with great attention to detail then polished to a glossy and reflective finish. I love the way the painter accented the Pale Turquoise Metallic paint with a Pure White roof and embossed "CHEVROLET" on the tailgate. It also plays nicely off the material in the bed. The panels are well aligned, and the doors close very easily. The chrome 20" Boss wheels provide a great stance and are a humongous size 315/35R20 in the rear.
INTERIOR: Beautiful custom interior that looks like new! It has the custom fabricated dashboard from a 56 Chevy that looks OEM. It's been nicely upgraded with a set of digital/analog gauges, power windows, electronic parking brake, tilt steering column, vintage A/C climate control, and Retrosound radio. The machine turned looking trim adds lots of visual appeal. They did a great job painting it and the rest of the exposed metal to body color. It has a reclining split bench seat with a center buddy seat that folds down providing you with an armrest and couple holders. Behind the seat is carpeted and has two speaker boxes installed. There are also speakers in the kick panels. The carpeting, rear mirror, and sun visors have all been replaced too.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Extremely clean and uncluttered! The 350 cubic inch engine is topped off with a FiTech fuel injection system and then Edelbrock RPM high-rise intake manifold. It has a Tru Trac compact front runner system with billet pulleys, brackets, and components. It has a mini A/C compressor, polished power steering with remote reservoir and a polished 1 wire alternator. The power brake system is painted body color and power brakes. The engine is flanked by a set of billet spark plug wire holders and compact headers. Many of the hoses and wires are hidden behind the fender well. The remaining hoses have very sleek shrink to fit connectors. It is equipped with a beautiful set of billet hinges with strut assist by EM. Further upgrades include an aluminum radiator with electric fan and billet overflow. The underside of the hood, firewall, and fender wells are all beautifully painted just like the body. Did you notice the Chevy Bowtie embossed in the custom firewall or the hand fabricated power steering bracket?
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Access the short bed by releasing two chrome latches on the inside of the tailgate. The jamb and inside of the bed are painted slick just like the body. I love the floor of the truck being finished with a white composite material and polished straps, that is something I have never seen before. It also has wider wheel wells to accommodate the ginormous rear tires.
UNDERSIDE: This truck received a thorough restoration with many upgrades underneath! It now has a Mustang II front end that includes rack & pinion steering, tubular control arms, and adjustable coilover shocks. It also has a big fat sway bar with new bushings. The rear is equipped with POL tubular trailing arms plus fresh springs and shocks. The power disc brake system has been completely rebuilt! It now has slotted and drilled rotors and Wilwood calipers at all four wheels plus all new lines. The custom bent dual exhaust system with Xlerator mufflers sounds tough. Looking up at the 350 cubic inch engine it was painted body color and has a new high torque starter. It also has all new lines and hoses. The 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission makes highway cruising a breeze. It has a fresh looking 12 bolt rear end with a chrome cover. The battery was relocated to the undercarriage. The floors look solid with a thin undercoating. They were freshened up with neatly applied satin black paint. The frame was also prepped and painted.
SERVICE: Our lead mechanic thoroughly inspected this truck and rewired the horn, repaired the air conditioning, replaced a turn signal socket, tightened the tailgate, aligned the front end, and replaced the door locks.
