GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1969 Pontiac GTO to the global market. This example is powered by its 400ci V8 motor that routes the ample power to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission. As shown on the video below (on our website), the motor fires right up without hesitation before settling into a smooth idle. Out on the road, the motor pulls strong with plenty of power for a spirited highway cruise.
Externally, this GTO has been repainted in a Carousel Red paint that shows exceptionally well. Complementing the exterior appearance are the 5-spoke wheels wrapped in Firestone Wide Oval tires. The hide away headlights contribute to the classic aggressive exterior of the vehicle.
Moving to the interior, the black vinyl seats and door cards are in great shape. The dashboard is free of any cracks and feels smooth to the touch. Additionally, the machined alloy and wood trim are in good condition and make for a very classy environment from which to pilot this classic American muscle car from.
The 1969 model eliminated the front door vent windows, had a slight grille and taillight revision, moved the ignition key from the dashboard to the steering column (which locked the steering wheel when the key was removed, a federal requirement installed one year ahead of schedule), and the gauge face was changed from steel blue to black. In addition, the rear quarter-panel mounted side marker lamps changed from a red lens shaped like the Pontiac ""arrowhead"" emblem to one shaped like the broad GTO badge. Front outboard headrests were made standard equipment on all cars built for 1969.
