Despite the 1930 year attached to this 5 window coupe, it was actually built in 2012 and was built to boogie! The build sheet on her is 3 pages long and includes a hopped up Chevy 350, Comp Cams 268/454, Keith Black pistons, 76CC heads, Cloyes timing set, Melling HO oil pump, Edelbrock cross ram high rise aluminum intake manifold, Holley 670 4 barrel, Jegs HP fuel pump, MSD HEI distributor and wires, Spectre pulley set, Hillborn bug catcher, Flex-a-lite electric fan sits behind a 3 core, aluminum 32 Ford radiator, and 140AMP alternator keeps the rear mounted battery charged. The exhaust escapes through custom headers with the machine gun ends, wrapped in insulation. All bits are polished or chrome. Fuel comes from an aluminum fuel cell in the trunk. The transmission is a GM 700R4, rebuilt, Lokar shifter, Painless lock up kit, Stage 2 TCI Valve body, Perma-Cool AT cooler (mounted out back in the frame to pick up air moving under the car). It's guesstimated that the V8 is putting out over 300 horse and funneled through the auto-trans out to a Chevy 10 bolt/30 spline rear. The power is applied to pavement via Coker Classic wide white poly radials in L78-15 in back and 5.60x15 in front, and all is kept in place with a Hairpin suspension, 4 link out back with QA1 adjustable coil-overs and a 4" drop up front with Pro-Street rod shocks, all rod ends are bare heim jointed. All this craziness comes to a halt with standard Chevy 11" discs/single pot calipers (F) and drums out back. A Painless 12V wiring kit was used for all the LED lights, including the frame mounted units for showing off the undercarriage. Inside the House of Kolor coated Spirit Industries 2" chopped top/3" channeled fiberglass body is a wonderfully comfortable diamond tufted black leather interior with offsetting red stitching. The flamed overhead console houses the fuel gauge, wipers, the Kenwood CD/MP3/Bluetooth stereo with two 6" rounds in the front kick panels. Gauges in the dash are Oil Pres, Temp, Volts and Tach .. No speedo, no odometer. True mileage absolutely unknown. The windows are power. The billet aluminum, red leather wrapped steering wheel is a tilt model, which makes getting in and out a bit easier, especially if you're up over 6 feet. This car came out to CT from AZ about 4 years ago and it appears as though she was thoroughly enjoyed out west. The BMW Silver, over House of Kolor red and Burgundy, all with a haze of red flek, has some chips throughout and the body has a couple of small cracks, as seen in the close ups. The interior is in very nice condition though and comfortable to sit in. Of course, as a chop top 5 window, you can't help but "Milner" with your elbow out the window and leaned forward over the wheel. She starts up and idles well, although the current owner hasn't driven her in a over a year so we feel the gas may be a little off, hence her slight stumble when punching it during the driving video, she could probably use a good carb tune too. There is a slight hesitation when shifting into reverse. She really gets up and goes but something to note for those unaccustomed to bare heim joints, they clunk a bit when moving so the drive on bumpy roads (as evidenced in the video) may be a little noisy. A deep detail on her will really make her pop and while you may not win any Rod and Custom shows, Dorothy will be a hit at cruise nights and the local Cars and Coffee. Dorothy is a solidly built, solidly running 30 chopped top, ready to cruise with just a few little needs.. what lady doesn't have some needs.? Dorothy's Dowry is $27,500. Any questions, for several hundred photos and video, to set a time to see her in person or to simply make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
