1961 Pontiac Ventura Bubble Top (Classic Rides and Rods)
This very rare Poncho is an absolute knock-out. That slim bubble-top roofline with no
center post lends almost an Italian flair to this muscular piece of Detroit muscle. The 8-lug
wheels are hard to come by and set off those wide whites perfectly. It’s a true work of art
from any angle blending elegance with brute force. A rolling sculpture of American design,
it looks fast sitting still. This is when automobile designers ruled and were given free hand.
HISTORY:
Restored in 2018, this stunning Pontiac Ventura was a very popular and winning choice
back when NASCAR was called Stock Car Racing. The intake, carbs and air cleaner on this
one were specially designed with only 50 sets being made. Before the GTO in ’64, Pontiac
built a muscle car with all the right ingredients that would define the Golden Era of The
