*1995 Ferrari 456 GT*Although these days Ferrari is most closely associated with mid-engine supercars, the brand built its roadcar reputation on front engined V12 grand touring cars. These cars are designed to cruise at high speed all day long, eating up the miles while the occupants remain in great comfort. After more than 15 years of Ferrari using essentially the same design for its 2+2 grand touring coupes, it was time for a change. In 1992, the 456 GT debuted and completely changed the game. Ushering in a new styling language for Ferrari, the 456 looked clean and modern, yet harkened back to the classic V12 coupes of old. This 1995 model is from the first year that the 456 was officially sold in the United States and features the extremely desirable gated 6-speed manual gearbox. This 456 GT is a multi-repeat visitor to Park Place, and is a wonderful example of the model. Finished in Argento Nurburgring (Silver), the clean lines are on full display with this color and shows the true, timeless elegance of the car. Scuderia Shields have been added to this example which contrast wonderfully with the yellow of the Ferrari logo in the center caps of the 5-spoke wheels. Designed by famed Ferrari design partners Pininfarina, the 456 bodies were also built by Pininfarina, until 1996, making this one of the final Ferraris with panels made by the famed coachbuilder. As the beginning of a new era for Ferrari, the 456 featured some very unique technology, including an active rear spoiler that, in contrast to most supercars, was actually situated within the rear splitter under the vehicle. This aided in high speed stability, which was crucial given the 456's top speed, which is in excess of 190 mph.The interior is designed for maximum comfort for the passengers, with nearly every surface wrapped in supple black leather. The two front bucket seats feature power adjustment, and are an excellent combination of comfort and keeping the occupants in place on twisty roads. The two rear seats are far more comfortable that what you would find in other 2+2 coupes of the era, and are nicely sculpted and separated by a large console with the transaxle sitting beneath it. The dashboard is classically laid out, with a large speedometer and tachometer situated just in front of you, and a suite of auxiliary gauges sitting in the center stack - yet all angled perfectly so the driver can see them.Powering the 456 was a new motor for Ferrari in the era. Known as the F116, this 5.5 liter V12 became a mainstay for the brand and powered nearly all of Ferrari's front engined V12 road cars from 1992-2006 - and lived until 2011 in the 612 Scaglietti. From the factory, this engine was rated at 436 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, with a remarkably flat power curve, giving a real turbine-like smoothness to the drive. Although the 456 was offered with a 4-speed automatic gearbox, the only real option is the gated 6-speed manual found in this car. Utilizing a rear transaxle for improved weight distribution, the 456 GT offers neutral handling and sub 5-second 0-60 times, while the occupants remain in air conditioned comfort. This example has been modified with Fabspeed Cat bypass pipes that likely increase power a bit, and give the car a wonderful noise when you're pressing on. In 2019, this 456 was treated to an enormous service at The Jag Shop in Portland Oregon consisting of new timing belts, motor mounts, spark plugs, valve shims, coolant hoses, cam seals, window seal adjustment and more. More recently, the window regulators were replaced by Ferrari of Seattle in 2021, the rear shock accumulators were rebuilt in 2023 and the clutch and flywheel were recently replaced as well. The 456 truly ushered in the modern era for Ferrari and was really the first car from the brand that you could use every day, without making sacrifices. As Ferrari has stopped making 3-pedal manual cars, the desirability of these has been increasing significantly in recent years and this is a trend that will likely continue. Every enthusiast should enjoy a V12 Ferrari at some point in their life and this 456 is a great way to do just that.*Key Features* * 5.5-Liter V12 * 436 Horsepower * 406 Lb-Ft of Torque * 6-Speed Gated Manual * Lots of Recent Servicing * Fabspeed Cat Bypass Pipes * Scuderia Shields * Full Leather Interior * AM/FM CD Stereo * 17-Inch 5-Spoke Alloy Wheels * Recent Tires*Additional Information* * Service Invoices * Ferrari ToolkitFor more information on this 1995 Ferrari 456 GT or any of our 100+ High-Performance, Exotic and Special Interest cars always in stock, contact one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales consultants or always feel free to drop by our 40,000+ sq ft of Indoor Showrooms in Bellevue, WA - Home of an Exciting Inventory of Luxury, Exotic, High Performance and Collectible Automobiles.
