1964 Chevy Impala SS Convertible Chevrolets plushest and most sporting model was available only in two-door styles. Standard equipment approximated that of the Impala, with added interior features including leather grained vinyl upholstery with individual front bucket seats and locking compartment in a center console. Swirl-pattern instrument panel inserts and moldings were used. A built-in rear seat radio speaker grille was featured. Dual dome and floor courtesy lamps, with automatic door switches or manual instrument panel controls were used. Special SS emblems appeared on the console and door panels. Exterior distinction came from the use of wider upper body molding, filled with swirl-pattern silver anodized insert.Impala lettering and SS badge appeared on the rear fenders, with another badge appearing on the deck lid. Full wheel covers of specific Super Sport design were used. Heres an incredible 1964 impala SS convertible thats undergone a comprehensive nut and bolt frame on restoration involving a rust free 1964 SS. This is a true SS thats striking anywhere you look, top and bottom, inside and out, its pretty awesome. Palomar red paint, which is new, new white convertible top, new white OEM correct interior and riding on a set of new "American Classic "white wall tires, factory wheels, and SS wheel covers. Strong runner as well. 327 cubic inch power mated to a GM Powerglide transmission. Plus, the car is in turkey condition meaning all the features, accessories, wipers, lights, heater, top etc. etc. are all working and operating as they should. Not sure theres a nicer one anywhere.
