1993 Cadillac Allante
The Cadillac Allante is a two-door, two-seater luxury roadster produced by Cadillac from 1987 to 1993. The Allante was designed to compete with the Jaguar XJS and the Mercedes Benz SL and featured a Cadillac chassis coupled with a body built in Italy by Pininfarina. Allante was scaled down to just the soft-top convertible for the 1993 model year. The price in 1993 was $61,675 and included an optional $495 LCD digital instrument cluster instead of the standard analog instruments. For its final model year, Allante received the 4.6 liter (280.7 cu in.) Northstar DOHC V8 engine. Other new features for the last production year included a new unequal length control arm, rear suspension, road sensory suspension, an active damper management system and revised disc brakes. This model had the “Premium Symphony Sound System” by Delco. Production was the highest in 1993 as 4,670 Allantes were manufactured, 115 being for export. The 1993 Allante was chosen as the 1992 Pace car for the Indianapolis 500 driven by Bobby Unser. This car is polo green with a beige leather interior. This car is in excellent condition with only 16,449 miles. It has been recently serviced by a Cadillac dealer where it received all new fluids as well as a new battery. We could not find anything wrong with this car except the undercarriage is a bit dusty and could use a thorough cleaning. It will give the new owner many miles of driving pleasure.
